How I got into this work
I learned insulation from my dad, crawling through attics on his crew around Davenport before I was old enough to drive. He did every job in the right order and took no shortcuts, and I started D&K Davenport Insulation Company in 2021 so I could run jobs the way he taught me.
Most of our calls come from homeowners with a cold room, a drafty older house or a heating bill that keeps climbing, plus some building owners and managers. The order matters on every one of them, because insulation over a leaky roof or a wet wall just hides the problem, and I'd rather tell you that than take your money.
